Lock away your yarns and needles! Last Saturday (18.5.2013) some nutty knitters covered the trees lining our beautiful river Aura with knitting, crocheting and quilting. These were the highlights:

Angry birds and gluttonous piggies! I don’t know why, but those pigs just make me laugh. Commercial, yes, but there’s just something about knowing that somebody probably spent hours knitting a ball-shaped green piggy. Kind of like those needlepoint swearword wall hangings. The message is underlined by the labour-intensiveness.
This was the best concept and execution:

Monster totem! There were also crocheted “eyeballs” hanging from the branches. Genius.
These crocheted mega-flowers were also cool:

And this creative gem caught my eye also:

A finnish Jopo bike with a heavy metal twist. Apparently, I’m easily amused.
